Cameroon produces both Arabica and Robusta coffee, each with distinct characteristics that appeal to different market segments.
Arabica Coffee
Grown in the western highlands at 1,000-2,000m altitude. Known for complex acidity, floral notes, and clean cup quality. Preferred by specialty roasters.
Robusta Coffee
Grown in lowland areas. Higher caffeine content, full body, and earthy flavor. Popular for espresso blends and instant coffee production.
Export Markets
European specialty roasters, particularly in Germany, Italy, and France, are the primary buyers of Cameroon Arabica. Robusta exports target Asian markets and industrial buyers.
